Well, the movie night at Cinema Nova was Thursday, and I do believe it was a success. In fact such a motivating exercise it drove me to a killer workout this morning.
I say the night went well because:
a) People turned out for the event - 37 tickets sold in total.
b) The aforementioned people were a wonderful bunch, ready to have a good night. I got to meet some great new people as well.
c) They foyer the cinema provided me with for before the showing rocked, complete with a little bar, and the wine I bought was all finished by the time the film began.
d) People dug deep and the night brought me $280 closer to the fundraising target.
e) It was a good film, or so I thought!
So thanks so much each and every person who made the effort to come along, especially those relying on public transport to get home (sometimes an uncertain exercise). Also cheers to those who couldn't but sent well wishes. Unfortunately I didn't take photos to post but maybe next time!
Special thanks goes out to Tom and Megan for organising big groups, and to the random lady who came to share the wine and say 'good on you!'.
Also many thanks to bartender Anna - she's a professional you know - don't know how I would have worked my way around the room without you!
NEXT EVENT: Change of pace to a lazy movie afternoon, in Indonesian of Course!! See the post below 'I Love You, Om...'
