AUGUST REPORT

FUNDRAISING: A cool $2375 total to date
MOOD: Pat on the back, on ya bike, keep at it... Frankie says relax, it'll all work out.

Well, I'm getting there! In my gym sessions I'm doing a range of cardio, putting emphasis on the bike, aiming to do 1km every 3 mins, for more time each session. Easily getting there, with my last session 17.5km in 45 mins. I'm also working on the incedentals - hey, I just moved into a place up stairs, that might help! The weather is quite fine now, so I need to pull my finger out and do some bigger training rides.

It's getting closer and the time to think of logistics and get excited is nigh. The lonely planet has been my lunchtime reading lately, next to organise is visas...

The Sicko movie night was great, and a fab motivational tool, with 37 people coming along (see report below).

Choccies are still going strong (thanks Jeannie and Lauren for helping out with the sales!), and Mum's friend Julie has done a wonderful job with the fudge sales in Tassie (I believe it's around the $200 mark!). For those who may think that buying a chocolate or giving a small amount doesn't help much, so far I have raised over $600 from chocolate sales (profit), over $30 of which has been given in 20c pieces. Every little contribution, and every bit of raised awareness, is helping. So thank you for supporting me and Oxfam Australia.

Mum and her friend Lisa had the quiz night last Friday, with my cut of the proceeds being a lovely $540. Thanks so much to all who went along and dug deep, I hear it was a fantastic night with some cool prizes, like a signed Little Birdy poster, gym passes, homewares and even a BBQ! Special props (yes props) to my mates Sharon, Kris and Lisa (who is also doing the bike ride with me!) for driving all the way to Mandurah for the event.

Thanks again, until next time! x
